Our Vision

Large conglomerate companies with marginal products and poor service attitudes have traditionally dominated the field of automation.

Large scale projects undertaken by these companies have traditionally been plagued with long delays, cost overruns and unsatisfactory outcomes. OSI's vision has been to change the dismal performance of the automation industry by offering the most open platform, built and delivered on common popular computer standards, delivered on time, and based on a "Product" implementation approach. This methodology is best described in a corporate message from our President and CEO:

While the automation industry has been concentrating on large customized projects and non-related hardware intensive product lines, OSI is focused on standard projects, leveraging our "Product" approach. We fully believe in forming long-term partnerships with our clients and working side-by-side to meet all of their requirements. As a company, we have no rigid implementation methodologies other than conforming to client delivery needs. We believe that by making our clients successful, we become successful as well.

OSI fully believes in an "open business" philosophy and an "open relationship" with its clients. We believe it is not enough to provide a system on multiple platforms to fulfill our "openness" requirements. We must also empower our clients to use the product without any technical or legal restrictions. Thus, all our system interfaces, including our database structures and interface routines and protocols, are released to our clients for their use in supporting their mission in the future.
