OXY Awards OSI a Contract for a Generation Management and Market Operation System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a contract by OXY Inc., a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation (OXY), to implement a Real-Time Generation Management and Market Operation System for control and monitoring of OXY's generation assets in ERCOT and several other power markets.

The proposed project based on OSI's monarch™ distributed open architecture will include Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, multi-market Automatic Generation Control and Dispatch (AGC), Historical Information Archiving, Calculation and Trending Subsystems, a Web-based Graphical User Interface, and a Market Operation System. The implementation will incorporate DNP 3.0 serial and IP-based Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) communications, ICCP communications and several market interfaces to ERCOT and other ISO/markets, as well as enterprise systems. OSI will also interface with The Structure Groups nMarket in completion of this project.
