OSI Wins Key Latin American Contract for Multiple Energy Management System Replacements in Colombia and Peru

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a contract to provide a new SCADA/EMS system, for Interconexin Elctrica S.A. (ISA) in Colombia and for two of its subsidiaries: TRANSELCA S.A. E.S.P. (TRANSELCA) in Colombia and Red de Energa del Per S.A. (REP) in Peru.

ISA and its subsidiary companies are recognized as one of the largest international transporters of electric energy in Latin America, operating more than 38,000 kilometers of high-voltage transmission circuits in Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil, with international interconnections between Venezuela and Colombia, Colombia and Ecuador and Ecuador and Peru.

In support of ISA's grid expansion and sustainable development initiatives, OSI is providing three (3) complete SCADA/EMS systems based on OSI's industry-leading monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) technology.

This multi-site SCADA/EMS upgrade project is set to encompass a wide array of specialized OSI software products including OSI's next-generation, Microsoft .NET based Graphical User Interface (GUI); Remote Console GUI; Dynamic Tabular Display Subsystem; Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Advanced Alarm Management System; Real-time and Historical Trending; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Inter-control Center Communications Protocol; Historical Recording System; Calculation & Scripting Subsystem; Disturbance Data Collection; Automatic Generation Control; Network Security Analysis; Operator Training Simulator; Equipment Outage Scheduler and Switching Order Management.
