OSI to Supply Mountain Parks Electric, Inc. of Colorado with New SCADA/DMS System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a new contract by Mountain Parks Electric, Inc. (MPEI), to provide a new SCADA and Distribution Management system based on OSI's monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform, in order to modernize and enhance their utility operations and operational efficiency.

MPEI's state-of-the-art new monarch system is set to feature the advanced functionality of OSI's next-generation, .NET based Graphical User Interface (GUI), as well as OSI's Advanced Alarm Management System; Real-time and Historical Trending; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Calculation & Scripting Subsystem; Disturbance Data Collection; Virtual Remote Terminal Unit; and Energy Accounting software products, with monarch interfaces to GIS, MultiSpeak and ODBC.

In a second phase of this project, MPEI will be implementing Advanced Distribution Management System functionalities, including Electronic Mapping, Distribution Power Flow and Volt/VAR Control.
