Leading Wholesale Power Supplier Selects OSI Technology for New SCADA Platform

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been selected by a nonprofit leader in wholesale power supply for municipal electric systems, to provide a replacement SCADA system based on OSI's monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform.

Electing to remain anonymous, this new OSI customer is a nonprofit leader in wholesale power supply for municipal electric systems, providing generation, transmission and distribution of electric power and energy to 129 members in seven states. Combined, these publicly-owned utilities serve nearly 625,000 customers.

This new monarch SCADA system is set to feature the advanced functionality presented by OSI's next-generation, .NET based Graphical User Interface (GUI); Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Advanced Alarm Management System; Real-time and Historical Trending; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Inter-control Center Communications Protocol; and Calculation & Scripting Subsystem software products, with ODBC interfaces to monarch.
