OSI Receives Contract from Suncor Energy for Full-Scale SCADA/EMS System in Alberta, Canada

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a new contract by Suncor Energy as the second part of a two-phase project for a new SCADA/EMS system at Suncor's Oil Sands Operation.

Having been initially selected by Suncor to provide an interim SCADA system based on OSI's monarch lite™ platform in 2009, the company has now been awarded a follow-up contract for a full-scale SCADA/EMS system based on OSI's monarch platform.

The full-scale new monarch system is set to feature the advanced functionality of OSI's next-generation, .NET based Graphical User Interface (GUI); Remote Console GUI; Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Real-time and Historical Trending; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Inter-control Center Communications Protocol; Calculation & Scripting Subsystem; Disturbance Data Collection; and Operator Training Simulator software products, with monarch interfaces to OPC, ODBC and SNMP.
