Leader in International Wholesale Energy Markets Selects OSI Generation Management System to Control Assets in North America

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been selected by a leader in international wholesale energy markets to provide a comprehensive new SCADA/GMS system based on OSI's monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform, in order to control their growing generation portfolio in North America. For competitive reasons, this company has elected to remain anonymous.

A leader in the international wholesale energy markets, this company is one of the largest providers of market service to the wholesale gas and power sectors in North America, with nearly 20,000 MW of generation under management. Initially, the system will be implemented for the ERCOT market with the option to add additional energy markets in the future.

This state-of-the-art new SCADA/GMS system will feature the advanced functionality presented by OSI's next-generation, .NET based Graphical User Interface (GUI); Remote Console GUI; Dynamic Tabular Display Subsystem; Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Advanced Alarm Management System; Real-time and Historical Trending; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Inter-control Center Communications Protocol; Calculation & Scripting Subsystem; Automatic Generation Control and Dispatch; and Market Operations System software products, with monarch interfaces to Webservices and PI Historian.
