Jamaica Public Service Selects OSI Technology for Advanced Distribution Management System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been selected by Jamaica Public Service (JPS) of Kingston, Jamaica to supply the next generation of Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) based on OSI's state-of-the-art monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform.

JPS is a vertically integrated utility serving more than 600,000 customers. JPS has been using OSI technology as an Energy Management System (EMS) since 2008. The new ADMS will expand the OSI technology at JPS to cover distribution management operations for JPS's entire distribution service territory.

JPS's new OSI ADMS includes advanced Distribution Automation (DA) SCADA functionality, Distribution Network Representation & Visualization, Topology/Connectivity and Switching Applications, Geographic Information System Interface, Three-phase Distribution Power Flow, Geo-Mapping as well as CHRONUS™, OSI's next-generation historian supported by big data technology for high speed time series data collection and data mining.
