Dayton Power and Light Selects OSI Technology for a New Generation Management System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) was selected by Dayton Power and Light (DP&L) a subsidiary of the AES Corporation to supply a new Generation Management System (GMS) based on OSI's state-of-the-art monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform.

DP&L's new OSI GMS will replace an existing GMS which has been in operation since 1998. The new system will include the advanced functionality of OSI's next-generation, .NET based Graphical User Interface (GUI), Advanced SCADA Functionality, Advanced Alarm Management System, Calculation & Scripting Subsystem, Real-time and Historical Trending, Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem, Historical Information System and Data Archiving, Inter-control Center Communications Protocol, and Automatic Generation Control and Dispatch software products.
