Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC Selects OSI Technology for SCADA and Distribution Management System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been selected by the Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC (UDWI REMC) to supply a new SCADA and Distribution Management System (DMS) based on OSI's monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform.

The system—implemented in record time—is already fully operational. It includes OSI's advanced Graphical User Interface (GUI); Remote Console GUI; Communications Front-end Processor; Real-time and Historical Trending; Advanced Alarm Management System; Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Geographic Information Systems Interface; Distribution Network Modeling and Visualization; Switch Order Management; Load Shed and Restoration; ODBC and MultiSpeak® Interfaces; and Voyager™, OSI's web-based and mobile user interface.
