Oregon's McMinnville Water & Light Selects OSI Technology for a New SCADA/DMS System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a contract by McMinnville Water & Light (MW&L) for a new SCADA/Distribution Management System (DMS). Based on OSI's monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform, this new system will replace MW&L's aging Opto 22 system.

The new SCADA/DMS will include the following functionality: OSI's advanced Graphical User Interface; Real-time and Historical Trending; Advanced Alarm Management System; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; ODBC Interface; Geographical Information Systems Interface; Distribution System Graphical Viewer; Distribution Topology Processing; Distribution Power Flow; and Voyager™, OSI's web-based and mobile user interface.

McMinnville Water & Light (www.mc-power.com) is a municipal utility responsible for providing water and electricity service to residents of the city of McMinnville, Oregon since 1889. MW&L currently serves nearly 20,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers via a distribution grid consisting of 320 miles of distribution lines.
