OSI Supplies Distribution Management System Technology for Hitachi's Pilot Project in Slovenia

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) and their partner, Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6510), will cooperate on a Distribution Management System (DMS) pilot project for distribution operators in Slovenia.

This new Distribution Management System, based on OSI's monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform, includes a SCADA-centric ADMS architecture comprised of the following components: OSI's advanced Graphical User Interface, Advanced Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Communications Front-end Processor, Inter-control Center Communications Protocol, Historical Information System and Data Archiving, Geographic Information Systems Interface, Volt/Var Control, Conservation Voltage Reduction, Distribution Topology Processing, Distribution Power Flow, Fault Location Isolation and Service Restoration, Short-Circuit Analysis, Feeder Reconfiguration, Load Shed and Restoration, Short-Term Load Forecasting, and Distribution Training Simulation.
