PSEG Long Island Selects OSI Technology for a New Distribution SCADA System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a contract by PSEG Long Island to supply a new Distribution SCADA (D-SCADA) system based on OSI's monarch™ operations technology (OT) platform.

This new system replaces and consolidates four legacy regional SCADA systems and incorporates a distribution network model from the Geographic Information System (GIS). It establishes standard maintenance and business processes by utilizing a common platform and system for the utility's D-SCADA and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). The design and implementation of the new system will follow cyber security best practices set forward by North American Electric Reliability Critical Infrastructure Program (NERC CIP) standards.

"We are proud to have been selected by PSEG Long Island for their new D-SCADA system," said Hormoz Kazemzadeh, VP of Distribution and Smart Grid at OSI. "The OSI operational technology platform will provide PSEG Long Island with a modern, unified architecture for advanced distribution grid management."
