Austin Energy Selects OSI Technology for a New Energy Management System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been selected by Austin Energy of Austin, Texas to supply a new Energy Management System (EMS) based on OSI's monarch™ operations technology (OT) platform. This will replace Austin Energy's legacy ABB EMS.

In addition to OSI's secure and scalable transmission SCADA platform, this new system features fully integrated EMS components for transmission management, including Real-time and Study Transmission Network Analysis, State Estimation, Contingency Analysis, Transmission Switch Order Management, Voltage Control, CIM Model Editor, Dynamic Network Visualization, Short-term Load Forecasting, Transmission Operator Training Simulator, and Transmission Equipment Outage Scheduler.
