City of St. George, Utah Selects OSI Technology for a New Distribution Management System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a contract by the city of St. George, Utah for a new SCADA and Distribution Management System (DMS). Based on OSI's monarch™ operational technology (OT) platform, this new system will replace St. George's legacy ACS SCADA system, modernizing the city's distribution operations.

In addition to OSI's modern, secure, and scalable SCADA platform, this new system features Distribution Topology Processing, which provides a real-time distribution network operating model with advanced visualization, enabling distribution operators to monitor and control the distribution grid and make informed operational decisions.

The City of St. George's Energy Services Department serves approximately 29,909 customers, including residential and commercial, with a current annual peak of 189 MW. It has a diverse wholesale energy portfolio, including coal, hydro, natural gas, diesel, and solar.
