Naturgy Selects OSI Technology for a Consolidated Renewable Generation Platform

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been selected by Naturgy Energy Group S.A. (Naturgy) to update and expand their existing OSI monarch™ platform, integrating a separate SCADA system for monitoring and controlling renewable wind and solar generation assets into the utility's existing hydraulic generation control center in Ourense, Spain. This will consolidate all of Naturgy's renewable generation assets on a single platform, in a single control center.

"The experience and confidence earned using monarch to control our hydraulic generation assets enables us to continue supporting our generation processes on a single platform, on which we want to grow the digitization of our renewable generation operations," said Juan Mora Paredes, project manager of Naturgy's Renewables Control Center.

"Naturgy has been a strategic partner of OSI for many years," said Javier Martin, Managing Director of OSI Europe. "The integration project at Naturgy is in line with our enterprise strategy to enable utilities to standardize on the OSI OT platform across the enterprise for all OT needs. We are very pleased to expand our relationship with Naturgy on this strategic project and we look forward to a successful implementation."
