OSI Awarded a Comprehensive Contract for Replacement of Eight Hydro Control Systems in the Western United States

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has recently been awarded a comprehensive contract to deliver multiple SCADA/AGC/Hydro Control Master Stations to a major Investor Owned Utility (IOU) in the Western United States. The IOU, ranks as of the highest revenue producers in the United States, serving both electric and gas customers.

The systems will control hydrogenation facilities throughout the region. These facilities include several river basins, nearly 100 reservoirs, 200 dams, more than 100 hydraulic generating units, and contract rights to market power generation from various irrigation districts or water agencies.

The proposed system, based on OSI's distributed and open monarch™ architecture, includes Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Historical Information Archiving, Hydro Monitoring and Control functionality as well as ICCP communications with the California ISO for receiving generation targets.
