Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has successfully implemented a new SCADA and Distribution Management System (DMS) for Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G) in New Jersey. Building upon successful installations at the Metropolitan, Central and Southern Division operations centers, PSE&G continued with a similar system for the Palisades Division operations center.
The fourth implementation marks the completion stage of a phased rollout of the monarch™ platform at PSE&G. Each system has been approached as an individual project allowing PSE&G to transition away from proprietary, single-source hardware and software platforms and implement OSI's distributed open architecture with an easy to manage, methodical approach. The Metropolitan and Central Operations Centers have both transitioned into the support program and the Southern Division has been implemented and is in the warranty phase. Each system has been implemented using OSI's fast track program.
