OSI's Quality Management System Receives Formal ISO 9001: 2000 Certification

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI), an industry leader providing open and high-performance automation solutions to electric utilities worldwide, has recently completed a formal audit and certification of its Quality Management System (QMS). Based on this independent audit, OSI has received ISO 9001:2000 Certification by Perry Johnson Registrars (PJR), accredited auditors. The certification encompasses the design, development, integration, and implementation of automation and control systems for the Utilities industry.

ISO 9001:2000 is based upon eight quality management principles: Customer focus; Leadership; Involvement of people; Process approach; System approach to management; Continual improvement; Factual approach to decision making and Mutually beneficial supplier relationships. Attaining this registration indicates that the processes used by OSI to develop, test and implement products and services meet these principles put forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

"The effort and dedication of our employees throughout this process and the results of the audit confirm and reflect our commitment to delivering the highest quality products and services to our customers. This important accreditation further underscores our desire and commitment to provide Total Customer Satisfaction," said Ron Ingram, OSI Vice President of Operations.

As stated by Ryan Frisby, PJR Lead Auditor, in his report recommending OSI for ISO 9001:2000 registration, "OSI has done an outstanding job of designing and implementing a Quality Management System based on ISO requirements."
