Kissimmee Utility Authority Awards Contract to OSI for a New SCADA System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI), an industry leader providing open and high-performance automation solutions to electric utilities worldwide, has been awarded a contract to supply a full-featured and state-of-the-art Supervisory Data Acquisition and Control System (SCADA) to the Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA).

The proposed OSI monarch™ system includes SCADA functionality, ICCP and DNP Communications, and Historical Information Management functionality. KUA will have an option to implement Generation Control and Dispatch, as well as other Energy Management applications in a second phase of the project.

The proposed system is based on the Windows® 2000 operating system and Microsoft® SQL Server database management system.
