OSI Pledges Support to Victims of Hurricane Katrina

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) and its employees would like to express their heartfelt sympathy for the victims and their families in the Gulf Coast region of the United States. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we have been stunned and saddened by the widespread loss of life and the destruction of land and property.

OSI has launched a corporate wide initiative to raise funds to support those who have suffered so much in the damage inflicted by the high winds, heavy rain and subsequent flooding. OSI has initiated a fund that will be matched three to one by the company for each employee dollar donated. An initial and immediate corporate contribution has been pledged with a secondary contribution from the internal company fund raising drive to follow. All raised monies will be donated to the Disaster Relief Fund of the American Red Cross (www.redcross.org).

"The affected area encompasses many of our customers as well as the friends and families of many OSI employees. Viewing the devastation and hearing the heart-wrenching stories coming out of the tragedy has driven OSI employees and their families to look for ways to show support and compassion. We will continue to look for opportunities to provide support to the grief stricken area," said Bahman Hoveida, CEO and President of OSI. "We urge others to find ways to deliver assistance to the victims of Hurricane Katrina."
