OSI's monarch™ GMS platform will give Austin Energy a flexible, reliable and secure system to provide Real-time generation resource monitoring, dispatch and control services for its assets in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) region and participation in the ERCOT Nodal Market operations.

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a contract to supply a next-generation Energy Management System (EMS) to Nova Scotia Power (NSPI), of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The OSI monarch™ system will allow NSPI to effectively manage its current generation and transmission assets and assist in meeting regulatory and reliability standards. The new EMS will replace a legacy SCADA/EMS system.

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) was awarded a contract by the Salt River Project (SRP) of Phoenix, Arizona to supply SRP's next-generation Energy Management System (EMS) in June 2006. The proposed system is based on OSI's monarch™ distributed open architecture and includes Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Automatic Generation Control and Dispatch (AGC), Historical Information System, Transmission Network Analysis, ICCP communications, and interfaces with CAISO, WECC and various enterprise systems. The project implementation was based on OSI's Rapid Project Methodology (RPM) and was accomplished according to plan, in a record completion time of ten (10) months. The system underwent field commissioning activities and was cutover on March 29, 2007, replacing SRP's legacy EMS system.
