OSI Selected by Major European EPC Contractor to Deliver Comprehensive SCADA/Energy Management System for Advanced Control Center in Bahrain

Open Systems International Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a new contract by a major EPC contractor as part of the Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) Line 6 Expansion Project to replace the company's legacy XA/21 SCADA/EMS system with a new, state-of-the-art SCADA/EMS system based on OSI's monarch platform.

Alba consistently ranks among the largest and most modern aluminum smelters in the world. This new OSI SCADA/EMS includes the advanced functionality provided by OSI's next-generation, .NET-based Graphical User Interface (GUI); Remote Console GUI; Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Advanced Alarm Management System; Real-time and Historical Trending; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Historical Recording System; Calculation & Scripting Subsystem; Disturbance Data Collection; Load Shed and Restoration; Spinning Reserve; Short-Term Load Forecasting; Network Security Analysis; Operator Training Simulator; Equipment Outage Scheduler; and Transient Stability Analysis software.
