Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a contract by St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC)—the only electric utility on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia—for a new SCADA and Distribution Management System (DMS) based on OSI's monarch™ (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform.
The new SCADA/DMS will include the following functionality: an advanced Graphical User Interface; Real-time and Historical Trending; Disturbance Data Collection; Load Shed and Restoration; Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Advanced Alarm Management System; Electronic Operator Logging System; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Short-Term Load Forecasting; Equipment Outage Scheduler; GIS Integration; Distribution Topology Processing; Distribution Power Flow; Short Circuit Analysis; Multispeak® and SNMP interfaces; and CHRONUS™, OSI's next-generation historian and data analytics platform supported by Big Data technology for massive time-series data collection and data mining.
