Bahman Hoveida co-founded Open Systems International in 1992 after recognizing a need in the operational technology industry for a more open, flexible, and secure solution. From the company's humble beginnings, he grew OSI to become a multi-national industry leader with more deployed systems in the United States than all other major competitors combined. He instilled in his employees a passion for total customer satisfaction, forming long-lasting relationships with customers, creativity, and innovation.
Bahman holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and has more than 30 years' experience serving the utility industry. In 2022, Bahman was recognized for his lifetime of contributions to the engineering sciences by way of induction into the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), considered among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer.
Ron Ingram worked side by side with Bahman to found Open Systems International. A computer engineer with years of experience working with information systems and automation, Ron became responsible for the strategic technological direction for the organization and served as the head of the OSI Innovation and Visualization Labs.
Ron holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Minnesota and has more than 30 years' experience serving the utility industry.
