Texas Wholesale Power Provider Selects OSI Technology for New Generation Management System

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a new contract by a prominent wholesale power provider (Company) to implement a state-of-the-art new Generation Management System (GMS) based on OSI's monarch™ platform to operate its generation portfolio and load resources in the Texas ERCOT Market. This company provides wholesale electricity to a number of distribution utilities that serves more than a million people. The Company has requested to remain anonymous.

This new GMS system is based on OSI's monarch (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform and includes the advanced functionality presented by OSI's Advanced SCADA and Alarm Management System; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Inter-control Center Communications; Automatic Generation Control and Dispatch; NERC Performance Monitoring; and Market Operations System interfaces for the ERCOT market.
